Title:

Date: Friday February 19, 12:50 pm

UFC 110 is scheduled for February 21st, 2010.  The fight card is one of the best line-ups that the UFC has ever had…However, there have been a couple of key changes, recently.

Ben Rothwell, who was originally scheduled to fight “Cro Cop,” has backed out due to illness.  His replacement, “Anthony Perosh,” is an Australian veteran…He has NO notable wins, and lost to James Te-Huna (who is also on the UFC 110 card).  This means that we will know nothing new about “Cro Cop’s” future…Unless by some act of God, that he loses to “Perosh”…which then I assume he would retire.

Below is the link to watch the KNOCKOUT win by Te-Huna over Perosh from their 2009 fight.

A shoulder injury suffered by Elvis Sinosic has forced the cancellation of his rematch with fellow Australian countryman Chris Haseman.  No replacement will be sought…So, the fight card will now only have nine fights, instead of 10.

Here is the official card:

Pay Per View Card:

  • Heavyweight Bout:
  • Brazil Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. United States Cain Velasquez  – A win over “NOG” from Up & Comer “Cain Velasquez” would immediately put him in the top 5 heavyweights list…Cain doesn’t need to win, but it needs to be close!  —– “Nogueira” needs the win. Period.
  • Middleweight Bout:
  • Brazil Wanderlei Silva vs. England Michael Bisping — This will be Wanderlei’s first fight at Middleweight in the UFC…It is also a “must win” fight for Wanderlei…He only has one win outta four, since coming to the UFC.    If Bisping pulls-out a win here, his stock rises immediately!
  • Lightweight Bout:
  • United States Joe Stevenson vs. Australia George Sotiropoulos –  This is a must win fight for Stevenson, and a nice step-up test for Sotiropoulos.
  • Light Heavyweight Bout:
  • United States Keith Jardine vs. United States Ryan Bader –  Another classic “Veteran vs. Up-and-Comer” match up!  Jardine really needs to win this fight.  Bader’s stock will rise BIG-TIME with a convincing win over Jardine, putting him in contention for much bigger names.
  • Heavyweight Bout:
  • Croatia Mirko “Cro Cop”  Filipović vs. Australia Anthony Perosh –  I understand that Perosh was a last minute replacement…Ummm, this match could be put in the “Preliminary Card” now, and bring up “Bonner vs. Soszynski”!!!   If “Cro Cop” doesn’t win this fight, he should retire immediately!

Preliminary Card

  • Light Heavyweight Bout: United States Stephan Bonnar vs. Poland Krzysztof Soszynski
  • Welterweight Bout: United States Chris Lytle vs. United States Brian Foster
  • Middleweight Bout: United States C.B. Dollaway vs. Croatia Goran Reljic
  • Light Heavyweight Bout: New Zealand James Te-Huna vs. Croatia Igor Pokrajac

As a whole, this is a strong pay-per-view!

PPV Predictions: Velasquez, Silva, Stevenson, Bader, Cro Cop

Prelim Predictions: Soszynski, Lytle, Dollaway, and Te-Huna
